Group Environmental Policy
The Geddes Group through each of its operating companies will manage its business in balance with the interests of the local communities.
With this aim:-
The Group is committed to minimising any adverse effects associated with its activities. Wherever practicable, the Group will develop and operate standards which are higher than those required by legislation and Codes of Practice.

The Group will continually develop and promote to all employees an awareness of responsibilities and duties with regard to the protection of the environment.
All personnel working on behalf of the Group will be made fully aware of the Group's environmental policy and its implications.
The Group is committed to the continual improvement of its environmental compliance record, and will incorporate all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements into any environmental management programme.
The Group will consult with all relevant organisations and statutory and regulatory authorities in the design, planning and operation of future operations to ensure the sustainability of the environment.
The Group will pursue environmental initiatives, in partnership with amenity, statutory and regulatory bodies to potentially provide for the benefit of local communities, including any restoration plans.
The Group is committed to providing information and assistance to customers, employees and other interested groups to promote an understanding of its activities in the context of the environment.
The Group will offer input and advice into future planning related environmental policies, to be prepared by Local and Central Government.
The Group will, whenever practicable, encourage recycling both within the Group and by its suppliers and will promote the principles of sustainability.
