At present we operate one asphalt coating plant which is based in Waulkmill Quarry in Angus County. This plant can produce up to 100 tonnes of roadstone per hour. The aggregates used in the mixing process are produced locally from our quarries in the surrounding area, sand from Hatton Mill and stone and whindust from Ardownie.
All Materials produced are regularly tested by Stangers Enviromental at their on-site lab to ensure it remains within current British Standards specifications. Copies of test results can be obtained from our Arbroath Office.
So far Geddes have supplied material to Angus Council Roads Dept amongst other contractors involved in the A789 Brechin by-pass.

DBM: Dense Bituminous Macadam
PCC: Pre-Coated Chips
